A true Utah native, Bill Clarke has over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry. His passion for the outdoors started early. At 14 years old, he spent his summers planting flowers and weeding for $5 an hour. From there, he moved on to mowing lawns and taking on any landscaping job he could find.
As his skills improved, Bill began working for commercial lawn care companies in the Salt Lake area, meeting countless wonderful people and gaining hands-on experience in the industry. After graduating from Utah State University in 2007, he launched and ran his own landscape company, where he spent over a decade maintaining commercial properties and franchises.
After a brief hiatus from the industry, during which time he combined his love for the outdoors with organizing national trail and relay races, Bill returned to his roots in 2023 to found Mountain Mowing. His mission: to provide top-tier landscape maintenance for residential and commercial properties in the Park City and Salt Lake areas with the core tenets of quality, value, and customer service.
When he’s not managing landscapes, Bill enjoys golfing, biking, and keeping up with his three kids on the ski slopes alongside his wife.

Designer and Manager
With over 20 years of experience in landscape design, installation, and maintenance, Matt Dirolf brings a wealth of expertise to Mountain Mowing. A native of upstate New York, his passion for both landscaping and skiing led him west. Naturally, this brought him to Utah, where he quickly fell in love with the state and decided to call it home.
Matt earned his degree in Landscape Design from Syracuse University and has worked in the industry across New York, Colorado, and Utah. His hands-on experience spans everything from intricate landscape installations, to large-scale maintenance projects.
When he’s not working outdoors, Matt is still embracing nature — whether it’s going fishing, exploring new ski lines, or spending time with his dogs. He’s also a connoisseur of classic Toyota pickup trucks.
